Accommodation in Asturias

To help a trip run smoothly, it’s always handy to be hosted in accommodation where both English and Spanish are spoken. My good friend Martin has a very nice self contained Bike Barn in his back garden. It accommodates up to four people and has facilities for bike storage and maintenance.

A couple of his friends in the local area also run very presentable holiday accommodation – a traditional Asturian house Casa de Aldea El Pedrueco also owned and run by a cyclist and, a B & B in Soto de Agues the proprietors of which are hiking enthusiasts who also know what a bicycle is.

For the record this is my place in Asturias, located between the market town of Infiesto and the beach resort of Colunga. It’s an ideal base for cycling expeditions with fantastic views of the Picos de Europa. Unfortunatley, no hablo Espanol – but that does not preclude total enjoyment.
